Dirty, Cold, have to walk through snow to get to hot tub. not a place for a romantic getaway!
This place had everything we needed for a pleasant stay, coffee cream sugar salt dish soap pots pans utensils can opener ice a corkscrew. There was even a grill by the hot tub. I would just suggest bringing an extra blanket or pillow. We brought a tiny Christmas tree and had the best memorable Christmas. I didn't want to leave. I am definitely going back.
The cabin was in a very pretty location. The inside of the cabin however, wasn't very clean. Dirty dishes in the cabinets, the floors turned white socks black, and the king mattress in the master bedroom was extremely uncomfortable.
The cabin itself is ok, but very basic. The beds were not properly made and the sheets were left folded at the foot of the bed. The property doesn't appear to be well maintained and the road leading out to the cabins is incredibly difficult to navigate. The owner is an incredibly unkind person who has signs threatening violence if you drive onto his property that begins just past the last cabin. If you drive onto his property, he barges into your cabin with threats of violence.
Overall very disappointing. One star but only for the hot tub. It is June 2017 and there is a ripped and torn plastic Christmas tablecloth on the kitchen table. Queen bed is a double , comforter and sheets very faded and old. WE HAD TO MAKE THE BED, Holes in bottom of filthy grill, had to clean it first. Old dirty cushions on couch. Very uncomfortable. Do not go to Shawnee Cabin! Sad to think we paid 199.00 a night for this. We left after first night.
